A dual inline memory module (DIMM) consists of a number of memory components (usually black) that are attached to a printed circuit board (usually green). The gold pins on the bottom of the DIMM provide a connection between the module and a socket on a larger printed circuit board. The pins on the front and back of a DIMM are not connected. 168-pin DIMMs are commonly found in Pentium and Athlon systems. 168-pin DIMMs are available in EDO, 66MHz SDRAM, PC100 SDRAM, and PC133 SDRAM. Crucial has a good reputation so I went with them even though there were lower cost DIMM modules available from other manufacturers. Blister pack packaging was a bit of a disappointment--was hoping for anti-static sleeve for maximum protection but it did not come with that. The DIMM module continues to work as expected after 2.5 weeks of use and because it's made by Crucial, I expect at least 450 more weeks of error free use. At 350 weeks I would rate it 4.5 stars--450 weeks would rate 5 stars.
